Network

A network is any net-like system of interrelated things such as topographical features, transportation route, telecommunications lines, energy distribution networks, or social ties.  A network is a technique for describing some pattern of circulation between components:  locations (to and from points), moving things (objects, people, messages, flows), connections (ways to get from point to point).  Even when virtual or social, networks are physical things with materiality, physicality, and geography.  Networks can formally be modeled and described in Network Diagrams, which can change over Time.
